What should I know about Spinpoints and gifts?
Registered users get one Spinpoint with every login - however only once per day; logging in several times on one day will not get you more Spinpoints. In case you have more than 50 points on your account, you will not get any more complimentary points until your account balance is under 50 again.
You do not get your Spinpoint right after you log in but the next day. You log in today, you have one more Spinpoint tomorrow.
The current number of your Spinpoints is displayed on the start page.
You can exchange Spinpoints for virtual gifts and present them to a friend in the community. So you can treat other people and show them that they are important to you.
There are gifts for several occasions, e.g. a cake for a birthday, a bunch of roses for a dear person or just a candy in between, etc.
The gifts are depicted by little graphics in the profile of the presentee (Except the user has disabled the display of gifts in his profile preferences).
Presenting
In case you want to present someone something, you can do so in his profile.
There click on the link "Send a gift to this user" and on the following page choose something suitable from the list of all available gifts.
Afterwards you have the possibility to write a message for the presentee and then just "Submit". In case you only want the presentee to see your message, you can set that by clicking the checkbox right above the entrybox.
Getting presents
As soon as someone has presented something to you, this is displayed on the start page at "Gifts".
Click on the info and you can see your new gifts. Now you have the possibility either to accept or to reject them. Rejected gifts are not displayed on your gifts page and also cannot be "restored".
Note: Do not wonder at the fact that a new gift is not added to the total number of your gifts in the display on the start page right away. The total number solely comprises accepted presents.
Options for gifts in your profile preferences
Here i.a. you can define, whether gifts are supposed to be displayed in your profile or not, means: if you enable the display, all people watching your profile also can see your gifts. If you disable the display, your gifts are visible only to you.
Furthermore you can decide, who's allowed to present something to you: everybody, your friends only or nobody.
If you like, you also can write a text here which appears on the page where users who want to present something to you choose the gift.
Questions and Answers
I am out of Spinpoints. And now?
Actually you only have to wait until you get your next Spinpoint: You gain one with every login - however only once per day; logging in several times on one day will not get you more Spinpoints. In case you have more than 50 points on your account, you will not get any more complimentary points until your account balance is under 50 again.
Furthermore you have the possibility to pay in to your account over the "limit of 50" by clicking on the Spinpoints icon on the start page after having logged in and then choosing from one of the available packages.
You can also become VIP for some months. In return you will get credited some Spinpoints as a bonus. For six months you will get 10 Spinpoints and for 12 months 25 Spinpoints.
Do I also have a "statement of account" somewhere?
Yes. Just click on the Spinpoints icon on the start page after having logged in. On the site that appears you will find your current account balance as well as a link for paying in to your point account. Moreover you have a listing of the gifts you have given lastly together with the information, if the presentees have accepted them already or have rejected them.
Can I also give away Spinpoints?
No.
I want to present someone a present for more than 50 Spinpoints. Is that possible?
Yes. But as you cannot do that only via your complimentary points you have to pay in to your Spinpoint account. To do so click on the Spinpoints icon on the start page after having logged in.
Do I get back my Spinpoints, in case the presentee rejects my gift or just does not log in for a long time?
No.
I have presented someone something "by mistake". And now?
Presenting cannot be undone as soon as one has clicked on "Submit", but you can send a chatmail concerning this matter to the presentee...
Irrespective of that it is not possible to get back the Spinpoints you have spent for the present.
Somebody says he has presented something to me. But I cannot see the present on my gifts page. And now?
First you have to accept the new gift before you can see it in your profile. To do so go on the start page and click on the link for new gifts...
I have accepted a gift by someone, but now I do not want it anymore. Can I delete it?
Yes. To do so go to your gifts page and click the checkbox right in front of the corresponding present; then click "Delete selected entries" at the bottom of the page. Please note that deleted gifts cannot be restored!
Can I delete all gifts I got from a certain user at a single blow?
Kind of. In case you really wish to do so, you can mark all gifts of this user on one page by clicking on the checkboxes in front of and then deleting them by clicking on the corresponding button at the bottom of the page. In case the gifts of this user are spread over several pages, you have to do the procedure on the corresponding page at a time.
I have presented someone something but cannot see the gift on the gifts page of the presentee. And now?
The presentee first has to accept the gift before one can see it on his gifts page. It is also possible that the user has disabled the public display of gifts in his profile preferences.
In case I change my nickname, will I keep my gifts?
Yes.
Can I transfer gifts to other nicknames?
No.
Will there be more gifts to choose from someday?
