When I go to click TOPICS and it says '1 new' to a group or board and I click it, it goes to the board and shows everything as read so I don't get to see what the new comment is...

Do you click on the Board Title line, or do you click where it says "1 new" ?

Solution: If you have the boards set to page view, like this, and if you click 1 new post, then it takes you only to the page that the newest post is on. The way I view the boards is by tree view, like this, and when I click the 1 new post it will take me directly to that post. Also, when you click the new post while set in tree view it will mark all the posts that are new as read but direct you to the oldest post of the newer unread posts.1

This happened to me before, and I just assumed it was a post on the teens board. Since i am over the age limit (by far ) for that group, I figured it wouldn't let me read posts on that board. Are there rooms where you might not have reached the appropriate age to view their boards and such? Not sure if that is the reason, but you never know.

I use tree view too but still it happens sometimes.
I am not sure about that but I think it happens if the post is blocked.

Perhaps it could have something to do with the code's interaction with your web browser. Google Chrome isn't having this issue when I try it.

You guessed correct. Blocked posts show up on the tally for new post in the overview but when u click the link it doesn't jump to the blocked post.

18 Jun 2012 14:46

I was wondering about that.

I know that blocked posts appear as "read" already.

it's been that way for a while. Is there new behavior with the new, simplified block options?

Yes, I am able to view the Talk board, and I am not 18 yet, although I have not clicked on that board in a while...

It makes sense, and I use the tree view
