30 Dec 2011 19:12 The Girl with the dragon tattooThought the whole rape scene was really unneccsary. Kept wanting to see more about Elizabeths backstory not nude shots thrown into the mix. |
31 Dec 2011 03:03 rehttp://www.stieglarsson.com/the-movies Watch the original swedish movies, they are better. |
01 Jan 2012 16:07 waaaay betterLisbeth (if that's her name) in the Swedish movies is a hot chick. I saw the trailer on tv the other day for the American remakes and they decided to have her role played by some retard looking girl?! Like wtf?!!! :S |
03 Jan 2012 03:05 Why was itunnecessary? It's an essential part of the character/story/series and the new version of the film portrayed it exactly how it was written. For the record the newer version kills the Swedish version by a long shot. Steven Zaillian did a much better job on the screenplay and keeping with the original details of the book. David Fincher did an excellent job of recreating the visuals. I felt like the Swedish version lacked in both areas considerably. That's not to say the Swedish version was bad. I just don't think it did the book/author justice. It left out too many details that were integral to the flow of the story. Unfortunately, I can't compare the dialog, because I had to read subtitles on the Swedish version. Enjoyed the majority of the cast in both versions though. |
03 Jan 2012 15:53 Re:I've not seen the films or read the books BUT I am a hugeeee David Fincher fan & he has done some incredible films from books so I can imagine he's going to do a pretty great job on this film, he's pretty much my main reason for even wanting to see this film (: |
03 Jan 2012 20:43 Out of the twoThe Fincher version was a much more accurate comparison to what I built up in my mind from reading the book. They did a good job on the actors in both versions, but I think the budget constraints on the Swedish version really showed in the final product. |
03 Jan 2012 20:55 Re:I'm actually really looking forward to seeing it, I've loved him since Alien 3 & yes I'm aware I'm one of the very few who liked that movie lol I'm not big into Daniel Craig but from the trailers he looks alright lol (: |
03 Jan 2012 21:41 re:here, its not in theatres yet. But as i saw the trailer for the usa version, I hated that leading lady with a retarded face and expression. Will see about the movie in general, soon. |
03 Jan 2012 21:49 Re:SUCH .. an anti-climax! |
03 Jan 2012 22:54 lolI thought about that after I punched submit. It felt incomplete, but seriously didn't have much more to add. |

04 Jan 2012 05:21 Re:> If you like americanised movies... That's irrelevant to me. It's just a better film and a clearer representation of the author's words. |
04 Jan 2012 07:30 so...In the book the leading lady looks like a retard and not a hot chick? |
04 Jan 2012 08:56 rewell I don't know about this scenario but its certainly the case in the twilight series :-P |
04 Jan 2012 11:14 Not surewhat something so subjective has to do with it. Regardless though, I think both are hot. http://womenandhollywood.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/rooney_mara2.jpg |
04 Jan 2012 11:19 Re:Although, I didn't picture her as either. I don't think in the book she was ever implied as being attractive. In fact, I think it was stated to the contrary, but I would have to skim back through the text to verify. |
