Smith King

I never could finish this. It's supposed to be about escalation.

Within the walls of a mighty hall
The smith king sang as his hammer rang
In a voice so fierce that it did pierce
Beyond the ken of mortal men
To the halls of gods who changed the odds
He left his bench the blade to quench
The water hissed as steel it kissed
He raised the blade that he had made
Sang with this tool I ensure my rule
The gods above did dearly love
All oaths made of blood and blade
And blessed his arm with power of harm
To slay the folk who resist the yoke
And all the things that steel brings
As time flew his genius grew
From simple steel to rod and wheel
To track and tire and belching fire
Even things with soaring wings
which would lay low each single foe

...And thats where I crapped out. Any suggestions?
