Thanks everyone for chiming in on the last thread. I didn't have time to come back and comment myself. But it looks like almost everyone understood what was going on.

I read the Toronto Sun quite often and I remembered seeing articles about foxconn written in May.

Here's 2 articles that were written in May. It discusses the conditions the workers live in, why they can't leave, etc.

I just wish I could find the article i read about the company erecting fences on the roof and barring all the windows making it look like a prison.... But I will keep searching for it

I think this board is appropriate. Could have been posted on a few other boards, but that doesn't mean it's not fitting here.

In reading those links not one mentioned that the staff were forced to stay in

those jobs.

I used to work at verizon a verizon warehouse, I remember the week we got shipped the iPads in one of the pallets there was a purple bracelet and it said halppp meee. I don't know if anyone was trolling me or not lol.
