firstly, twilight ain't that good. but then i went into it thinking it was gonna be more than just a soppy love story.
although i did enjoy the 4th.

harry potter, was a great read, didnt read the first two, from 3 on wards were captivating. not too keen on the films though.

but if you want a fantasy series thats better than both of these, read the hythrun chronicles by jennifer fallon. its followed up

by the demon child trilogy. although the latter was actually written first. these are by far the best fantasy books i've read.

the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead is a good read. It makes you think of vampires differently. I have read the whole series and it is almost like Twilight but i like to think it was better... Tell me what you think (:

I like twilight a little bit but I totaly love Eward and Jacob but I love Harry Potter and deathly holos part 2.But what you said about twilight isn't true I know they love but thats just your opinion.

Not sure about lumping Harry Potter and Twilight together... they are extremely different animals.

Also not sure the way to win people over is by insulting the things that they enjoy.

I do enjoy Harry Potter, especially books 3 & 7. I enjoyed the first two movies but thought they made a sharp downhill turn after that.

I enjoyed Twilight when I read them. Only looking back do they begin to disturb me. But at any rate, I get to tease my Twilight-obsessed friend by referring to "50 Shades of Cullen", so that's all good.

I would have a look at your series... but I all ready have a couple of other books I need to look at recomended by people who started by forging friendship with me.

Though I absolutely hate the twilight series, I know it has loads of fans
so if u like the series, try 'dead beautiful' it's a lot similar to twilight and all twilightfans will enjoy the book. It's sequel is life eternal, by the same author (I forgot her name)

I am curious–obviously "all twilight fans" is an exageration. But I do wonder what aspects of it are similar to Twilight in a way which would attract Twilight fans and what aspects are different such that you enjoy the later but not the former.
