31 Mar 2011 01:00 re> My favourite fictional book is Pride & Prejudice by Jane You mean Jane Austen? Smiling. |
31 Mar 2011 01:52 yeah thats what I mean stevetrust it to be one of your favourite books too...... snicker snicker |
01 Apr 2011 00:23 ooh i luv itooohhh!!i love that book!!!!! |
01 Apr 2011 00:38 It's hard to choosebut it would be non-fiction. Possibly even a photo book such as 'Decade' or 'Century'. If I had to choose a (short) novel, it would be Notes From Underground by Dostoyevsky. Maybe a music-related book such as 'Revolution in the Head' by Ian McDonald, about the Beatles. So that's 4 favourites. |
01 Apr 2011 03:51 uh huhI LOVE it too and anyone that loves it as well becomes an instant friend! I remember 1st seeing the mini series made for tv when I was approximately 14 and fell in love with Mr Darcy since lol. Ever since then I think Ive read the book 11 times, and of course watched the one with Colin firth in it when it came out. I love Cathrine Cookson too.........not sure if you have heard of her? I go through phases. I like insipid and/or historical fictional novels for a couple of months and then for the following couple of months I have to have cold hard factual non fiction books..............usually metaphysical or medical jargon :) |
02 Apr 2011 23:02 Re: Jane AustenReply to lol by Tracy! well.... I dont reed the book, I saw the movie, and it's fantastic! By the way, i want reed the book too. P.D: English is your first language? Becose I am Spanish and sometimes i write "Austin" too, 'cose in spanish is pronounced like that. |
03 Apr 2011 12:49 reTheres also a british mini series made of it too. It was this I saw first and fell in love with the story. You should read the book, for books are usually a 1000 times better and you more intricate in detail. Youll love it. And yeah english is my first language - and only one lol. The only thing I know in spanish is Te Amo, lol, and thats bc it was a title of a book I read once. I havent heard of Tirant lo Blanc but I will look out for it on amazon :) |
03 Apr 2011 15:58 Re: Tirant Lo BlancReply to Re: Jane Austen by Girl92cs "Tirant Lo Blanc" in spanish is "Tirant el Blanco", that in einglish will be " Tirant the Wite" Is normal that you dont knew about this book, becose is a book about the Catalan literature. 04 Apr 2011 03:43 FAV BOOK?Reply to FAV BOOK? by bethylovesyou Lord of the Rings-the entire "trilogy" in one volume; read all 1180 pages three times, and will probably read it again at least once more. BTW, not meant to be a trilogy; that was the publisher's idea... |
