10 Feb 2011 10:18 ReWhy so bitter, young'uns? Norwegian Wood, Eleanor Rigby, Ob-La-Di, Obl-La-Da, Julia... To be fair though, I prefer George Harrison and John Lennon solo, but they were still a great band. One of my best photos of London was of Abbey Road. |

10 Feb 2011 23:29 Impossible ..... to choose just one song - well for me it is anyway. Can't Buy Me Love It's hopeless - I could go on for hours. Beatles made so much wonderful music !! a |
10 Feb 2011 23:38 Since this is a German chatsiteI remember this being at home and people laughing cus supposedly they said something very wrong |
11 Feb 2011 03:34 I agree with KeithBut for sake of argument Across the Universe was always one of my favorites: but also love While my Guitar Gently Weeps |
14 Feb 2011 19:44 ReHelter Skelter, I Am The Walrus, I Want You (She's So Heavy) and Michelle :) And I don't think The Beatles are overrated. Overhyped maybe, yes, but not overrated. The way they combined different elements from different bands to create their own success-formula was genius, if you ask me. |
15 Feb 2011 21:13 Geez Miez!I always knew you had taste, good choices. The A-side of Abbey Road is full of winners (except that stoopid Ringo song), and George's Something has always been one of my favourites |
16 Feb 2011 14:55 I change my mindHELP! Your entry is too short - please always try to make a significant contribution to the forum and don't just write short one-word-postings. |
16 Feb 2011 21:09 ReReply to Geez Miez! by Duges Abbey Road is my favorite album :) And that Ringo song is silly because drummers should never write ;) Btw, check your spinmail, I'm sending you a link to my new demo (which I promised) |
16 Feb 2011 21:57 beatles songshappiness is a warm gun, back in the USSR, dear prudence, i want you (shes so heavy) i am the walrus, rain, glass onion, a day in the life, getting better all the time, everybodys got something to hide (except for me and my monkey), i me mine, long long long, magical mystery tour. thats just the short list. |
17 Feb 2011 23:21 ReI love Happiness is a warm gun... The rythm structure is genius. It was one of our assigned songs last semester, we had to be able to play it with our band within 1,5 hour, was a nice challenge :) |
18 Feb 2011 03:26 i'll betBut my two favorite albums are the white album and abbey road. I used to despise abbey road until I forced myself to listen to it several times. And suddenly a lightbulb went off in my head. Now I play and sing it constantly on wii beatles rock band. I want you she's so heavy is now a favorite of mine. But really, listen to long long long from the white album. It almost brings tears to your eyes. The beatles and the doors are timless music. |
18 Feb 2011 20:46 you had to play itReply to Re by Dutchess within an hour and a half????? musta got tiresome by the 23rd chorus :P |
23 Jun 2011 11:31 My DadWent to the same school as John Lennon. |
23 Jun 2011 14:25 Re:were they friends? |
24 Jun 2011 10:27 No.He was eight years older than my Dad. Ha ha. My Dad used to go The Cavern, never saw them there though. Although, his barber was Rory Storm of The Hurricanes fame which was Ringo's band prior to The Beatles. |
