07 Dec 2011 21:43 BullyingSo, the highschool I graduated from just had there anti bullying week. I was helping with the campaign when I thought to myself...why stop after a week? We should spread the word about anti bullying everyday, even on spin. We should for 1 week change the color scheme of the chat rooms and home page to pink. Put a banner up on spin somewhere saying a catchy slogan or just something straight up. This video has inspired me to take it to the next level. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRXjqpfOnS0 It just isn't right for someone to be bullied to the point of suicide. I personally have lost many friends to suicide. So what do you say fellow spinners? Should we rise up? |

08 Dec 2011 05:15 reI'm with you, People who resort to bullying, be it in real life, online or whatever, are usually insecure and feel the need to put others down to feel good about themselves. Sadly you wont eradicate it, but you can better educate people about it, and maybe just maybe save more lives. Wish you luck with your efforts, mail me if you need a hand. |

08 Dec 2011 12:58 Re:Then your just as bad. Have you ever been bullied to the point of suicide? No. So shut up both of you. |
08 Dec 2011 15:48 reOff topic: LOL@ stay around weaker friends and the pic of the elephant haha xD All jokes aside... On topic: I think that the campaigns may not help all the way, because there are people out there who just think they are big and bad or maybe they are bullying to make them self feel better. The point is: He didn't think about whether or not my gay friend would commit suicide or not (he didn't btw) .... He was simply trying to cover up the fact that he was gay by trying to show everyone he hated gay people... I do like the idea of the campaign though... |

09 Dec 2011 07:07 re:Yes yes, I would be bullied too– for a short moment before I knocked the kid's off their feet, you could even ask my parents about the many occasions we had in the principals office. I didn't care if they were 2 grades older than me, and it didn't matter the time or place either. It's pretty simple to put an end to bullying and it doesn't have to be violent like my decisions were. Nobody could ever possibly bully me to the point of suicide, I assure you that. There's a reason why, too. If people are willing to take it to the point of suicide.. how well do you think they'd do in a high-stress work environment? As a parent? Struggling to pay bills? If you can't adapt, you might as well die. That's how nature works, and it's still working obviously. |
