28 Mar 2012 20:38 Poll: Another thread closedMhm, these days when a regular chatter is 'discussing' something with mods, the threads get closed. What should be done in these cases?

29 Mar 2012 04:42 re:Well from 2006 to now it sure has become more obvious to me.. You could get away with full out debates, personal insults, threats.. whatever you wanted as long as it wasn't breaking ToS. If you ever read ToS, you realize it doesn't say shit about attitude. Each individual moderator is beginning to make up their own little wussy rules. Flirt says "Mild Language" is allowed. What does that entail? To me, that seems like light usage of cuss words(if any), and generally non-directed, eg "I couldn't open that damn stupid box". Yet, you'll still get banned for that under the minority of mods(but growing) and of course any reports on the mod's judgement go unnoticed as expected. I could give you a list of the most ridiculous and arcane situations where I've gotten banned like childhood stories or something. I don't even care anymore. It's like a game to see how far they'll go with their modern 'imaginary ToS'/self-judgement... What I've written already will probably get blocked anyways so I'll hold off on a full rant. |
29 Mar 2012 04:44 regee, is it that time of year already? |
29 Mar 2012 08:02 reWell it is clear some mods are bias as hell. Now they will come and shout that it is not the case. But that would be a blatant lie, I can't take them serious anymore. |
29 Mar 2012 08:25 ReI agree with you concerning the use of mild swear words that aren't directed at any one. I don't see any harm in that. Personally, I'd even allow the words 'fuck' or 'fucking' if they are not directed at a person and not used excessively. Many ops go overboard with that. However, I have absolutely not patience for people who come into a room with the goal of bothering or abusing people and I welcome moderation in such a case. Oh and, did you notice that your contribution was not blocked? Sometimes it helps to keep an open mind before one gets bitter. |
29 Mar 2012 09:08 ReDude, you're like a dog with a bone. So, we had a run-in on another thread. It's been closed, it's over. So, you can let it go now. Also, you can't demand people not to give you 'personal' answers when you get personal yourself whenever it suits you. You will have decide what's it going to be or else nobody will take your constant requests seriously. |
29 Mar 2012 09:35 ljhkjhsome chatter and some mods should take a break, i think. a never ending fight between some chatter + against mods. i don't say any names, they know themself, but i think some mods like mackay don't earn the mod status, cause he act like a troll. thats my opinin1 |
29 Mar 2012 09:41 jlhjlpkhi have no opinion about you, i don't know you. but you have to get over it, you go from one to another thread and fight against everyone who don't suite your mind and get personal, whats rly needless. you act like a child wich get no candies of your mum. roll over the floor and cry the shit out of you. |
29 Mar 2012 10:01 Re:I choose: MODs are cheeky board contributors, too The most cheeky thing i have seen on these boards is Hikari on the PSR board posting to Refton1, and then having the cheek to block his posts. To me that is treason towards SPiN and should not be accepted, yet it is. Just my 2 cents :) |
