13 Apr 2012 13:19 reReply to Re by maverick-majed The reason so many people are depressed at a very young age comes down to the fact that haven't been given the proper nurturing environment to be able to deal with stressful situations , the fact that i see 15 14 year olds with severeeee ptsd is very alarming to me. the bottom line is screwed up families is something of a prevalent issue to which unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to stop people who are not fit to raise children in any way have 4 or 5 of their own, but that doesn't mean you have to continue the cycle , find out what makes you effective and happy and go after it, you feel depressed? work twice as hard. This is not about self-entitlement , quite the opposite. |

13 Apr 2012 14:31 Re:> The reason so many people are depressed at a very young BULLSHIT!!! I know 2 other people with Depression & both came from a severe incident that none of us have been able to recover from.. I come from a broken home & my depression has nothing to do with my parents or my family. (it's part of my bi-polar but even that stirred from something else) > doesn't mean you have to continue the cycle , find out It's very easy for you to sit there & tell somebody who on a very bad day could potentially kill themselves that you know what all you really need to do is turn on a show you love do some exercise & you'll be fine & dandy!! I don't disagree the majority of teens have been misdiagnosed but to somebody who is suffering with severe depression you seem like an ignorant self righteous douche. |
13 Apr 2012 15:25 reactually my father has been manic depressive and has been bi polar with severe manic phases for as long as i can remember and my mom died when i was 12 so i can relate to what you're saying , i realise it's not a pie in the sky, i realise the severity of what you're suffering from, i know that feeling of apathy and physical malaise , maybe i've never felt suicidal but that was inherently linked to the fact that i always tried and be productive towards something i loved and wanted to do even when i felt like i had no worth, you just keep pushing on. Good luck with everything. |
19 Apr 2012 10:56 rei'm actually sad this thread went sour from almost the very beginning mostly because my points where taken out of context and in a literal way rather then in a figurative way so you get mal-adjusted old bags like you writing sardonic replies, you keep contriving your fantasy life there in which you think having an online relationship with someone who lives thousands of miles away is healthy. |
19 Apr 2012 11:04 reModerate to severely depressed clients showed greater improvement in cognitive therapy when therapists emphasized changing how they think rather than how they behave, new research has found. thanks btw that was a nice read. |
