Poll: Terms of Use

The posting has been blocked by a moderator due to the violation of the Terms of Use
well not this time i hope. im really sick of reading this 'beeep' sentence when i tried to read a thread . i just cant understand why this beeep terms of use are so strict.do they have to be that way ? and i want to see which term of use is actually violated . at least the mod should say it .
i wonder what you all think about it? here is the question.

pls mods dont vote it for the reliabilty of the poll.

Terms of Use should be rearranged or rewritten in more flexible way.

I no need to change it cause for me I don't prefer seeing or even knowing what

other people said in their threads to be closed ..

need dropbears " meh " option in there.

You, like several others, need to realize that its not a democratic society here.
It is a business.

You're right there, cant argue with that, but with all due respect, a buisness needs to listen to its customers too.

Anyway i voted no, leave it as is.

re

Not necessarily; a business can also decide to run things their way and if customers (lol) don't agree with the way things are run, they can hit the road. A point of view which has often been expressed by SPiN admins, in the past.

beside that

this clause of ToS is very ridiculous

(6) The Community is intended solely for personal use and communication purposes. Commercial use is expressly prohibited, with reference being made to § 3 section 1. If the User violates the express prohibition to use the Community for commercial purposes, particularly for advertising purposes, he/she shall pay EUR 1,000.00 to SPiN for each and every contravention. This shall not affect any other claim for damages on the part of SPiN.

how will spin find the infringer and encash eur 1000 1 from them. lets assume they find him . they have to use international law to get 1000 euro. considering international cases take long time , europe will already give up using euro then . anyway i went off the topic.

re

and what evidence do you have to support that they make no money?

And you, like a few others, give yourselves too much credit.

" we're gunna break them! "

yet here they are...unchanged. Way to break them.

I dont have an opinion on how spin operates and dont particuarly want to go there to be honest.

But with regards to your post i have to agree with you, buisnesses can choose to run it how they want, they dont have to listen to their customers at all.

My point was that good buisnesses should and often do listen to their customers, for a business is nothing without its customers, any business that chooses to neglect its customers would be in danger of losing them and going out of buisness.

I'm not sure

what percentage of registered users actually pay for anything here, like VIP status, spin points etc. though I doubt it's the majority.
That being said, those monies, while helpful, hardly make a dent in the actual cost of maintaining this chat, which, btw, is free for us to use, and not the "business" end of SPiN AG. Please don't confuse the business end of SPiN AG with the chat they offer us.
I have seen many times, SPiN giving users particular things they have suggested etc and all at no cost to us.
I would call that being customer friendly, though we hardly qualify as "customers".

Even though this is a good point, the majority of the users of Spin.com don't pay a single Euro to be here, so I could honestly understand if Spin admin didn't care all that much about what they have to say (which is not to say that I believe that).

Spinchat isn't making any money from spinchat.com. Why? I think a lack of customers. Wonder how that happend...

Well if you consider advertising revenues than yes we are a sort of a customer. Although they make hardly any money on that because the site isn't attrackting enough people.

05 Jun 2012 20:23

to be fair...

I was pretty much reading certain things as This chat Is all there is to SPiN, which we know better.
While I agree that this chat doesnt seem to have as many regular, registered users as it did in the past, it seems to be a cyclical, so who knows what lies ahead.

what year are you living in?... this site died a nasty death on the upgrade but was further enhanced by incompetant moderation ever since... remember that whilst you and your mod friends block the next post and then think why users that have been here for years have had enough.
