Re:

This Christmas it seemed all our friends and relative would come to visit with a few bottles of wine, Spanish Wine of course.

We had a delightful surprise with a frozen grapes white wine called VINO BLANCO DE HIELO BG DO CALATAYUD

We also had some nice Cariņenas and Riberas del Duero red wines and one can never forget Rioja reds so good.

no bottle of wine is worth 700 dollars. i dont care if the pope kissed it before they corked it. not that i believe in the pope. but a lot of people compare things to the pope. like the popemobile compared to your car. the pope was shot once or twice so they made him an armored popemobile.

than $700. The most expensive wine in the world is the 1787 Chateau Lafite, which was sold for $160,000 (or approximately 115,000¤) and the runner up is a Spanish Vega Sicilia that was just ¤50.000.

i dont drink much wine but i know what wines go with what. i cant imagine 300 year old grapes tasting any better than grapes from last year. i just had a nice sauvignon blanc (sic) from south america that was semi sweet and it was delightful. also it cost 14 dollars.

I was going to be mean and say the stuff is disgusting but I had a second thought since you are so lovely.

I honestly couldnt give an opinion since I have never tried the stuff but doing some research over the internet I found this

link about boxed wine and her reveiws arent bad at all.

http://winepredator.wordpress.com/2011/08/26/boxed-wine-reviews-pairings-part-1-offerings-from-octavin-trader-joes/

I guess if you go camping and such where space and weight can be a problem and carrying things that dont break and such so maybe one day Ill give it a go.

Salud!

re

Aye! .. What she said. The White Zin is lovely, really. So are the Zin,
Merlot and Shiraz. ;-)

A really good Pinot Noir is wonderful, too; Almaden makes a decent one,
but I've had a bottled brand [ can't remember the name ] that was just
out of this world.

There really is plenty to enjoy out there. *nods* .. :-D
