Tips to start

How do I enter a room? How do I open my own room?

You have various possibilities to enter an existing room:

Via the room list
Click on "Chat" in the navigation. The room list is shown, the sorting of which you can adapt to your requests by means of the drop-down menu. In the individual lines you can find information on the room (you can reach it by clicking on the room symbol), on the current number of chatters online, on the room name and the room topic. Permanent rooms are highlighted in bold, temporary rooms are visible in normal writing. Unlike a permanent room, a temporary room will be closed automatically as soon as the last person has left it. Then the temporary room will also be removed from the room list.
Simply click on the room name, then the room window will open, and you are "in the room".

Via the area for status messages
Click on the screen symbol next to Chat on the top of the page. The window for status messages is opened automatically.
Enter /join room name in the command line and execute the command by pressing the "Enter"/"Return"-key. Then the room window will be opened and you are "in the room".

Via a room/dialogue in which you already are
If you know the exact spelling of the room you want to enter, you can enter it from the room in which you currently are. To do so enter /join room name" in the command line and execute the command by pressing the"Enter"/"Return"-key. Then the room window will be opened and you are "in the room".

You have almost the same possibilities to create your own room as with an already existing room:

Via the area for status messages
Click on the area on the top of the page on the right side of the Spinchat.com-logo, where you always see the various status messages of yours.
The window for status messages is opened.
Enter
/join room name in the command line and execute the command by pressing the "Enter"/"Return"-key. Then the room with the requested name is opened and you are "in the room".

Via a room/dialogue in which you already are
Enter
/join room name in the command line of the room/dialogue which you are currently in and execute the command by pressing the "Enter"/"Return"-key. Then the room with the requested name is opened and you are "in the room".

As long as there is someone in your room, it will appear in the room list. As soon as the last chatter has left the room, it will be closed automatically and removed from the room list.
