Aim of the game
One tries to sink all of one's adversary's ships via mouse click.

Placing one's ships
At the beginning every player places his ships; as soon as that is done, one just clicks on "Ready", and you are off. The left game field is one's own, the right the adversary's.
One places the ships by left-clicking them in the "dock" and then moving them onto the desired position of one's own game field and confirming it with another left-click. The ships are automatically lying level. To turn a ship 90°, just right-click it while placing or hit the space key. The ships may touch but not overlap each other.
As long as one has not clicked on "Ready" yet, one can reposition one's ships at any time. To do so either click once on the ship in the field and place it on it is new position or click once on the according ship in the "dock" and then place it on the desired position in the field. In case one already has clicked on a ship to place it but now one wants to place another ship first, one can move the current ship back to the "dock" by hitting the ESC key.
Firing at adversarial ships
The first player chooses a square in his adversary's field and fires via a mouse click. In case he misses, the square changes its colour into a dark blue. In case he strikes a ship, a little explosion will appear in the square. Now he must try to sink the ship, means: he has to hit all the squares the ship occupies. Whether the ship is placed vertical or lying is up to be found out by further shots.
Course of the game
Every player has one shot per round no matter whether he manages to strike or not. Then it is the other player's turn to try to strike. If he manages to do so, one will see an explosion on one's own game pad or otherwise a dark blue field; in this case he did not strike.
The squares belonging to a sinked ship are marked red under the hit explosion.
Winning
Who sinks one's adversary's ships first is the winner.
