Is it that difficult to have responsibility for your actions anymore? To hold some sort of accountability for what you say in correlation to what you do? It's getting fairly close to election time here and I have been following a few of the candidates and it's been in the least frustrating. To be told one thing and then to see something else happen. You can’t help, but to lose faith. With every false statement you lose credibility and respect for yourself. And for what? To impress people? To put on a façade that will eventually show face? I suppose the ongoing theory is to gain enough leverage and power, so that when the truth finally does come out you have gained enough foothold to boot anyone that tries to pry you loose. Either that or you just aren't concerned at all. It shows a lack of character in a place that character should be the only thing that matters. Do I want strength in a leader? Of course, but I also want humility. If you have all the answers, you are most certainly full of shit, so it's ok to show some weakness. It's only human. I don't want a fucking robot and surely I don't want arrogance and ignorance rolled up into one neatly packed roll of bullshit. It would be nice to see someone that sincerely has our best interests in mind. I don't feel stepped on as much as I feel completely ignored and insignificant in the eyes of our government. That the average person feels like they work to improve the quality of the country and our own well being while the people in power spend time lining their pockets and fueling their own agendas. 'We the people' at this point is just a political token used to blow more smoke up our asses. I wish we had answers. I wish we had resolution. I wish we had revolution. All I see is our submission. How do you live your life? Politician, humanitarian or phantom?

Because it bears repeating

"Then I explain to him how naive we were, that the world knew and remained silent. And that is why I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffereing and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must-at that moment-become the center of the universe." - Elie Wiesel (Nobel acceptance speech, Dec, 10, 1986)

Report: Double Stuf Oreos Could Raise Tolerance To Stuf

Other · · 1 comment

EAST HANOVER, NJ—A new report released by the Food and Drug Administration Monday suggests that regular consumption of Oreo's Double Stuf cookies could lead to an increased tolerance to stuf.

"For 90 percent of Americans, it now takes twice as much stuf to reach the same level of satisfaction once achieved with a single layer of stuf," the report read in part. "Millions of consumers have taken drastic measures to recreate their initial stuf experience, including the manual construction of quadruple-stuf Oreos and chronic stuf-licking. Some have even gone so far as to twist off one side of the cookie, scrape the stuf off with their teeth, and discard the two chocolate wafers."

Oreo executives downplayed a portion of the report claiming that children as young as 8 have begun lacing vanilla stuf with peanut butter stuf and mixing it with substances such as pizza.

The Game is not Over

T.Raumschmiere is Marco Haas, born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1975. He is a techno DJ with a punk attitude.
In the early 90's, Marco was the drummer in the classic hardcore punk band Zorn (translation: anger). They've performed more than 300 shows around Europe and released two albums on Maximum Voice Records (Leipzig).

In 1997 his rock band Stormbow, released their debut record. The Stormbow release was the first on Shitkatapult, the now infamous record label Marco founded with Marcus Stotz in Heidelberg. At the same time, Marco was also working on a project called shrubbn!!, based on noise improvisation. This was together with Ulli Bomans. In the same year, Marco got his solo moniker for electronic music: T.Raumschmiere.

In 1998, Marco moved to Berlin. After fine-tuning his sound ideas a lot of experimenting, the first tracks under this new name were released on the compilation album series Cozmick Suckers on his label Shitkatapult. Around this time, he also began work on a stage project called Pop Poisoned Poetry featuring Miss Tigra and started up a monthly event called Erlösung Durch Strom (translation: salvation through electricity.)

In 2000, the first T. Raumschmiere records were released. These records gave him the title of King of Gnarz. Gnarz is a German expression for example, of the sound that a record makes when the needle is at the end and there's this endless loop. The first releases were based almost completely on samples of these sounds, tuned up or down to get bass or treble. He also started drumming again, with his punk rock band Mos Eisley Rock.

In 2001, Raumschmiere played more than 150 live and DJ gigs all over the world.

In 2002, S.hitkatapult bundled together the best of T.Raumschmiere's Greatest Gnarz Hits on the Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle. A little later, the album Anti was released by Hefty Records. Marco had also been working on new songs with his band Mos Eisley Rock, a few of which have appeared on different compilations.

In 2003, T.Raumschmiere was listed as Best Live Act and S.hitkatapult as Best Label in several Reader Poll Top 10s. He was offered a record deal on novamute. The first single to be released was Monstertruckdriver and The Game Is Not Over (featuring Miss Kittin). The debut album, Radio Blackout followed.

In 2004, more remixes followed including one for his American friend Quasimodo Jones. After touring continuously since 2003, T.Raumschmiere tried something new. He enlisted drummer Dirk Mielenhausen and bass player Andreas Paruschke along with sound engineer Allert Aalders as his stage cover band for all live concerts and started to sing. The T.Raumschmiere band toured extensively all over Europe, playing festivals in Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain and Germany.

In 2005, the brand new album Blitzkrieg Pop was released on novamute. After a hiatus, in October 2006, T.Raumschmiere released the track "Die alte Leier" that had been produced in 1996 in Heidelberg with Alex Cortex.

Modeselektor is an electronic music band formed in Berlin, featuring Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. The group draws heavily from IDM, glitch, electro and hip hop. They produce all their material with self-developed software and MIDI controllers, also doing very innovative live performances.

The group members met in 1992 in Berlin with group member Szary performing live acid house music at illegal underground parties. Both soon joined forces and began creating music under the moniker Fundamental Knowledge. It wasn't until 1996 that the group renamed to Modeselektor. The name is thought to come from the name of a function of the Space Echo hardware effect device. After more years of experimentation, the group started to focus on live shows.

In 1999 Modeselektor signed its first remix contract and began working with Pfadfinderei, a Berlin based VJ and design collective. In 2000, Modeselektor met with Ellen Allien, making BPitch Control their home label. Modeselektor has also been involved in many collaborative efforts: Moderat - a musical collaboration between Modeselektor and Apparat, Pfadselektor - a music/visual collaboration between Modeselektor and Pfadfinderei, Team Shadetek, London-based MC Sasha Perera, Rhythm & Sound's Paul St. Hillaire, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris with a 5.1 surround sound installation. They were also invited to lecture at the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart.

Modeselektor is a favourite group of Thom Yorke (Radiohead frontman) [1], who has recommended their albums in interviews and included the song "Silikon" (from their 2005 LP Hello Mom! and featuring Sasha Perera) in a publicly available iTunes playlist.

The follow-up to Hello Mom! is Happy Birthday! which sees Thom Yorke and Maxïmo Park feature on the album. Thom Yorke features on the penultimate track "The White Flash" and Maxïmo Park on a bonus track titled "I Can't Sleep (Without Music)". Other guest artists include Otto von Schirach, Siriusmo, TTC, Paul St. Hillare and Puppetmastaz. Happy Birthday! was released on September 13, 2007 in the U.S.

"The Rapanthem", the fourth track on Hello Mom!, samples a rant from the film 24 Hour Party People.
