You have to choose the people you feel sorry for, the sick, poor, weak, or victims of war. Because no matter how good you try to be, there is a limited supply of empathy. The world's too big, your heart's too small, you can't feel sorry for them all. Sure you can try, if you think you should, but remember, feeling bad doesn't make you good.
