Why Not Weed When It's So Warm?

Other · · 13 comments

"And if you have time today, could you pull the weeds from the front planter. It looks terrible." And it does.I've been sort of slacking off on the yard work lately and the thistle has spread among that darn creepy vine thing that no matter what I do to it, it refuses to die off. Guilty as charged but, I plead innocence due to wall painting and lawn mowing, including Ze Toni's yard (that's the new politically correct term now....Ze, gender non-specific)for a nice little sack of goodies (weed whore alert!). I am NOT passing up any paying job.At my age they don't come along too often. An hour later I'm up to my armpits in fresh compost for the growing pile out back by the fence line. The rabbits love it. More manure when it rots away. That's a good thing right? Besides, they just blend in with all the other weeds back there. Perfect disguise. Now....that job done...time to fire up. Ah...now that gets the kink out of my back. It's nice back here with my big pile of dirt with weeds growing all over it. And the big sandy hole where the bricks came out from. Nice and shady back here....and the lawn chair beckoned. Whoever said yard work was hard didn't have a lawn chair and a gentle cool breeze.

you could have an apartment and no weeds there. :ok:

Yeah, Golfer, no weeds, but also no privacy to partake of the "weed", he needs for his health issues.. And in the states that still don't allow it here, it does not go well for you, if you're discovered.. So, I get why he needs to stay in a house, yard work to keep up with or not!! And NO I do not partake, before people assume that.. I live in one of those states where they crack down tough on people who are discovered to partake, and I'm way too much of a coward to risk it, though from what I've been told by many here and elsewhere, it probably would bring quicker relief for my too frequent back flareups.. But, hey, each to his own.. Cowardly me, though will wait until maybe someday it's legal for all here! :angel2:

No way Diehard....I hate apartment living. At least, the trailer belongs to us now. No more renting. (well, except for the lot rent...) And Elusive... I stand on my front porch in front of god and anyone else who gives a crap, smoke my joint and water my little "Sunshine Plant". If Iowa wants to bust me at 61 years old they are in for one hell of a fight. I believe that if it's legal for one American, it should be legal to all. The laws are discriminatory. I would take the case before the Supreme court (seriously) and win. Don't mess with the First Amendment,,,,
And Funny.....the neighbor lady got the bricks after falling down and hurting herself on her old wooden walkway between her house, garage and backyard. I hauled them over there for her.....all 400 some of them....She gave me $20. Each brick was worth a dollar. Hmmmm....I think I got ripped off....but, they're GONE!!!!! (Hurray!!!!)

Ah, ok then, check, you brave man you! But if they do round ya up, let me know, I'll mail you a cake with a file firmly embedded in the center of it. Now mind you, it'll be store bought , sorry, baking's not my strong suit.. But yeah, at any rate, I just couldn't see a free thinker like you wanting to dwell in an apartment , if you had any other choice!!
OH and nice of you to take the bricks to the neighbor. But yeah I do believe you got ripped off, sadly! But hey, no good deed goes unrewarded right? Just may take a while.. :blumen:

Sorry ffunny...... You could try the well.....I will say the next door lady really needed those bricks. Her wooden walkway was old and slippery. That was one nasty bruise on her leg. So, all ends well, I guess....except for the dead body. Hey! You could always donate it to the Medical School. One dead body is like all the rest, you know.....(You could have left the head on, though....)

Wont matter...darn...that....D....N.......A.......which stands for he Dead...Now you Arrested. OK...getting rid of the body is simple...just go rent RED and figure out what the old lady is pouring on the bodies.....I hear it takes soap scum off pretty good, too.
