In the past two days, I have driven the entire width of Iowa, first to the east of Des Moines to Iowa City and then south into corn country. We found the only set of mobile home steps (Fiberglass and wood)in the entire state of Iowa for sale on Craigslist on a farm out in the middle of nowhere after a two and half hour drive down I-80. This morning, we were off and running to Omaha, Nebraska. Nearly brand new washer and dryer, just like what we've been looking for, cheap! My wife is such a good bargain shopper and will go to the ends of the earth...or at least within four hundred miles...to find a good bargain. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. But...after the trip to Oregon and the bus back, and Chicago before that....well....all I want to do now is curl up to a long draw on the bong and a soft, soft pillow....and dream about how I'm going to spend all those frequent traveler points. By now I should have enough saved up for a trip to Timbuktu.
